Bisexual+ Awareness Week, or #BiWeek, is observed annually from September 16–23, culminating in Celebrate Bisexuality Day on September 23. Co-founded by GLAAD and BiNet USA, BiWeek is a time to uplift the voices, stories, and experiences of the bisexual+ community — including those who identify as pansexual, fluid, queer, or no-label. The week draws attention to the unique challenges bi+ individuals face, such as erasure, invisibility, and mental health disparities, while celebrating their resilience and leadership within the broader LGBTQ+ movement. GLAAD’s BiWeek hub offers educational resources, media guides, and profiles of bi+ advocates and celebrities.

To build knowledge and deepen allyship, explore the Bisexual Resource Center for peer support, workshops, and health advocacy. Still Bisexual shares powerful personal stories and offers community events that challenge stereotypes and promote wellness. The National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC) also highlights the intersectional experiences of Black bisexual individuals, offering roundtable discussions and toolkits to reduce stigma and promote equity. You can support the bi+ community by sharing accurate information, amplifying bi+ voices on social media, attending virtual or local events, and donating to organizations that advocate for visibility and inclusion.
