April 6th is International Asexuality Day, marked by a worldwide campaign promoting the ace spectrum, including demisexual, grey-asexual and other ace identities.  International ACE Day aims to promote:

  • Advocacy
  • Celebration
  • Education
  • Solidarity

If you or someone you know identifies under the ace umbrella, or if you just want to support the community or find out more about how ace folks identify, please take a look at this new article from our friends at The Trevor Project, visit the International Asexuality Day website or Twitter page for ways to get informed, and involved.

Did you know that the four colors of the ace flag represent some of the identities on the ace spectrum?

  • Black represents asexuality
  • White represents allosexuality (presence of sexual attraction)
  • Gray represents the gray ace folks in the asexual spectrum
  • Purple represents community, because the UK-based AVEN (Asexual Visibility and Education Network) website had a purple color scheme
