On August 19th, we celebrate the Transgender flag. A globally-recognized symbol for transgender rights, whose colors are now included in the expanded Pride flag. It was originally designed by trans veteran Monica Helms, who carried it first in the Arizona Pride parade in the year 2000.  Watch an interview with Monica here and read more details here where she shares her vision for the flag that is now an inspiration for trans folks everywhere.
